Dear Parents/ Carers, 

Welcome to the R2G class page- thank you for visiting! 

The children have settled into school very quickly and are happy and eager to learn. In R2G we have such busy days where the children have access to the whole EYFS curriculum every day. 

How can you help at home?

We have daily phonics sessions, where your child will develop their reading and writing skills through fun games and activities. Reading any stories at home, talking about what might happen next or about what your child can see in the pictures will help them to develop skills for reading and most importantly develop a real love for reading! 

Counting and number recognition is also important. Looking for numbers in your home or while you are out and about will help them to begin to recognise numbers and find a purpose to it. Also talking to your child about different shapes, sizes, lengths, weights and comparing them will help support your child’s space, shape and measures development.
