To ensure the wellbeing and safeguarding of all of our pupils,\u00a0pupils are not allowed to bring smartphones into school<\/b>. If a pupil is found with a smartphone in their possession, it will be confiscated and their parent\/carer will be contacted to come to the school office and the end of the school day to collect it in person. If a pupil repeatedly brings a smartphone to school, it will be classed as a safeguarding risk to that pupil and others pupils, and a safeguarding referral to social care will occur.<\/div>\n

If you believe it is necessary for your child to have a basic non-smartphone to support them travelling to and from school , permission will be needed from the Headteacher (Rebecca Gittins)\u00a0and these phones will be handed in to the class teacher each day for security purposes.<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

A movement called Smartphone Free Childhood has spread rapidly across the UK this year. This movement looks at the impact of mobile phone use on children\u2019s mental and physical wellbeing.<\/div>\n
As a school, we have joined this pact as we see on a daily basis the impact that mobile phone use is having on our children\u2019s sleep, concentration, activeness, communication skills and mental wellbeing.<\/div>\n
